Grand vom Ritterberg was another good producer out of the famous “G” litter Ritterberg, just like his brother Golf. Their dam, Burga v. Haus Himpel, was known as the DDR‘s top producing bitch and was a double Bernd v. Lierberg granddaughter. Bernd comes from the famous “B” litter v. Lierberg, which has been described as arguably one of the best litters ever bred.

Grand appears in Asa v Haus Gebet’s pedigree, while Golf v. Ritterberg appears in the pedigree of our highly prized Line 13 DDR male Hassan v. Grüntal. Both Grand and Golf were known for producing a very old type of dog, very strong heads with a short thick muzzle and a wide canine tooth that goes with this. Grand also appears to have better structure than Golf, however they were both V rated in conformation.

Grand’s Kör rating classifies him as a medium-sized, medium-strong male with ideal constitution and good angulation. His temperament was a relaxed friendly temperament but was hard when provoked with reasonable sharpness, and good hardness and courage
