In 1984 Bastian von Goldschmieding followed in the footsteps of his sire Bingo v. Ellendonk, and grandsire Jago v. Beelen by achieving the highest possible ratings for his Koerung temperament classifications – protective instinct, fighting drive, hardness and courage, coupled with the ideal mid-sharpness.

Bastian’s daughter Dunja v.d. Worringer Bruch (Baron’s maternal granddam) also achieved the highest possible ratings in all these character classifications at her Koerung.
