WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING!

I cannot rate Performadog Super premium dry dog food any higher after seeing how quick and effective it worked on my Akita and German Shepherd.

My working line black German Shepherd has been raised on Performadog from a puppy and from the get go it’s been absolutely amazing. She’s always had a consistent, healthy digestive system being on it, even when I add her raw meats and bones to it she has always been fine.

It has done wonders on not just her physical appearance but also with her activity level and recovery. She has excellent muscle quality, super soft coat, very bright eyes and even the black pigment on her lips and nose is more vibrant then the norm.

My Akita was originally on another holistic Australian made premium food and when I ran out I tried her on Performadog. I expected her digestive system to be unsettled from the sudden change in dog food as would be expected, but boy was I wrong. Her stool was consistent and regular, if not better then before. If I slowly add extra raw meat or raw bones to her current diet I have no problems with her stomach feeling a bit off, the way it sometimes got on her previous brand.

Her coat has remained nice and plush so far whilst on Performadog and I have certainly noticed her recovery after any exercise become quicker which is amazing.

I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality of Performadog and cannot recommend it enough.

Recently we decided to make a switch to Performadog premium dry food after hearing very good reports about the product from friends in the dog world.

I would highly recommend this premium food as my 3 dogs are loving the taste and looking great in condition and muscle tone.

They are very healthy and full of energy and vibrancy! I have found their stamina levels to be up, and general overall activity is higher than normal.

Anyone looking to get the best out of their dogs make the switch to Performadog which is purchased at a very competitive price considering it is an all Australian product using the latest technology using the best ingredients!

Having excitedly welcomed our Doberman puppy into our family earlier this year, we were introduced to Performadog Super Premium Dry Dog Food as a nutritional, balanced and wholesome dietary solution.
We felt confident in taking on this brand based on it’s holistic benefits, grounded in research. Noticeably, our puppy has endless energy and stamina, and we often receive compliments on his shiny coat and healthy teeth, suggesting sound nutrient absorption.

Having this product as his main dietary component since day one, it is evident through his growth thus far, ongoing usage will continue to support muscle growth and bone health. Assuringly too, every meal is greeted with great gusto, supported by an easily indigestible texture, all available at a highly competitive price.
Our strong belief in Performadog Super Premium Dry Dog Food has been cemented in our decision to become an Adelaide distributor and we look forward to watching our puppy continue to thrive!

I cannot express enough thank you’s and absolute amazement at how rapid Rook’s bowel movements, stools, overall happiness and ease of transition the moment he started on Performadog.

As a breed that is rare within Australia (1 in 4) it was difficult to understand the type of nutrients which were comparable to what he use to eat. I have tried all of the optimal ‘high quality’ products and have AT BEST had mild-soft bowel movements including dis-interest, poor eating habits and overall boredom. We have gone through (in various forms of the brand as well):

    • Barf
    • Canidae
    • Pro-Form
    • BlackHawk
  • Ivory Coat
  • Meals for Mutts
  • Taste of the Wild
  • Ziwipeaks

I was absolutely cautious with Performadog initially as I have always experienced the transition to the painstakingly slow and without much improvements. However, the moment I put Rook on Performadog – this was an absolute first he has ever ‘gobbled’ (I can’t believe I have used that word correctly without exaggerating) and his stools are actually solid. I am starting to wonder how I managed 4 years of dealing with the mess.

Thank you for providing such a quality product dog food. I hate to admit but I do have a very fussy eater and Performa Dog has just about made me question what is currently mainstream in the market as being ‘optimal’. Thank you again for the continued passion, devotion and care in Performadog. it has only been 2 weeks but so far, Rook and myself stand by it COMPLETELY.

Thank you kindly.

Ingredients:

Lamb and Meat Meals (Lamb, Poultry, Fish) Rice, Wholegrain Cereals, Poultry Fat (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols – source of Vitamin E) Oats, Beet Pulp, Whole Egg Powder, Whole Ground Linseed, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Brewer’s Yeast, Natural Antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Thiamine, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, B5-Pantothenic Acid, B9-Folic Acid, B3-Niacin, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc, Green Tea, Yucca Schidigera

Protein 25%: Lamb – Chicken – Fish (meat and meat meal)
Protein builds maintains and replaces tissues in your dog’s body. We mean the stuff his body is made up of. His muscles, organs, and immune system are made up mostly of protein. Dogs use the protein they eat to make lots of specialised protein molecules that have specific applications. For instance, the body uses protein to make haemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen to every part of the body.

Lamb and Meat Meals (Lamb, Poultry, Fish): Highly digestible protein profile. When your dog eats foods that are highly digestible, the result is that your dog benefits from more nutrients. Lamb blends with other ingredients to create a complete protein profile providing a natural source of Glucosamine and Chondroitin, helping maintain healthy joints.

Fat 17%: Dogs require a high amount of animal fats in their diet and the optimum range is 15 – 18% – Provides energy, helps the body absorb the fat-soluble vitamins A, S, E, K, and prevent deficiencies of these vitamins.

Rice: Lamb and rice dog food is a healthy choice for your dog’s diet because lamb is an excellent source of protein whilst rice is highly digestible.

Beet Pulp: Recommended as one of the best sources of fibre for dogs and cats

Whole Egg Powder: Eggs are also one of a complete source of amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Also a good source of Vitamin A, Riboflavin Folate, Vitamin B12, Iron, Selenium and Fatty Acids

Whole Ground Linseed: High in fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, as well as phytochemicals called lignans. (includes the omega 3s) and 2 grammes of dietary fibre. Helps lower total blood cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or “bad”) cholesterol levels, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease.

Salt: Is one component that sends electrical signals throughout the body. Sodium also causes the body to become thirsty by activating electrolytes. The water then allows the kidneys to distribute a healthy amount of electrolytes throughout the bloodstream, and this action regulates blood pressure. Too little can cause disturbances in tissue-water and acid-base balance, which is important to good nutrition.

Salt in moderation is actually very important to a diet because it helps;
Retain Water in the Body
Salt Stimulates Muscle Contraction
Salt Contains Nutrients Vital to the Digestive System

Potassium Chloride: is a very important mineral for the proper function of all cells, tissues, and organs in the body. It is also an electrolyte, a substance that conducts electricity in the body, along with sodium, chloride, calcium, and magnesium.
Potassium is very important in the human body. Along with sodium, it regulates and is important for;
– Water balance
– Acid-base balance in the blood and tissues.
– Cellular biochemical reactions and energy metabolism
– Participates in the synthesis of protein from amino acids in the cell.
– Functions in carbohydrate metabolism; it is active in glycogen and glucose metabolism, converting glucose to glycogen that can be stored in the liver for future energy.
– Normal growth and for building muscle.

Choline Chloride:
– is Similar to B-vitamins, Choline Chloride is an organic compound used by the body for a host of vital functions, most notably by enhancing cognitive abilities.
– Choline contributes to the health of cell membranes in the brain, protecting neural membranes and encouraging excellent signalling capacity.
– Choline is also a key precursor in the production of Acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter which regulates the forming of memories, recall of information, the ability to focus, verbal reasoning, and skills.

Brewer’s Yeast: Best source of B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin) and B9 (folic acid).

Natural Antioxidants: Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Thiamine, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, B5-Pantothenic Acid, B9-Folic Acid, B3-Niacin, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc,

Green Tea: It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. Loaded with polyphenols like flavonoids and catechins, which function as powerful antioxidants, halting oxidative damage to cells and appear to have other disease-fighting properties.

Yucca Schidigera: Act as a cleaning agent for the digestive system washing toxins from the intestines. The build-up of toxins is believed to be the cause of many conditions such as arthritis, colitis, and migraines. It contains many useful nutrients, such as iron, selenium, and vitamins A and B. Yucca extract may be recommended for the use of several medical conditions like lowering cholesterol. Yucca extract is also used to control the smell of animal waste. This is possible because saponins bind to ammonia and prevent the smell from passing through the air.

Calcium and Phosphorus: Calcium and phosphate work together to strengthen bone and teeth. Both electrolytes affect the nervous and musculoskeletal system, but do so in different ways and are essential for proper physical development.

Wholegrain Cereals – So what is the truth?

The basic controversy has arisen because of the very high cereal content used in processed pet foods. Many canned and dry dog foods can contain up to four times as much cereal content as meat. This cereal is cleverly flavoured with meat render (boiled offal and carcas remains) and is often disguised as “meaty chunks” using food dyes. The simple fact is that dogs and cats are not designed to eat such a high content of highly refined starch (cereals ground into flour). These cereal flours are used as cheap fillers, to bulk out the pet food, and increase profit. Cheap starch has little nutritional value, except for calories, and can result in a diet with too much-refined sugar. It is this fact that has led some vets and nutritionists to broaden the issue on cheap carbohydrates, to encompass grains in general. But this is not true. We agree that cheap carbohydrates used in commercial pet foods are not good for health, but this does not mean that dogs and cats do not actually eat grains.

We must remember that both dogs and cats do ingest grains whenever they catch and eat live prey. The natural source of prey for dogs and cats is generally herbivores….plant eaters. When a dog catches its prey, it will first eat the gut content of the prey animal, which is full of semi-digested plant and grain material. This can make up almost 30-40% of the weight of the prey animal. Next, the dog will eat the organs, and finally the meat and bones. The order in which they consume the prey is a simple and clear indication that the grain / vegetable content of the diet is vital to their health.

But the question I had was, “Are whole grains are as important for animals’ diets as they are for humans?”

Veterinarians join nutrition experts in saying pets can reduce several health risks when their diet includes whole grains.  The very same health benefits can be seen in our beloved pets with consumption of whole grains as part of a healthy diet – such as reduced risks of kidney disease, diabetes, high cholesterol and some cancers.

Niacin happens to be the famous Vitamin B, and it is an essential nutritional vitamin. An imperative vitamin is one which the body cannot synthesise, and that has to be acquired from an outside source. This vitamin naturally found in peanuts, cereals, meat and primarily in the other cereals as well.
